Your aspirations and your marcom team are out of sync.

And it's costing your mission more than you realize.

I give nonprofits a better way for marketing communications (marcom) teams to operate so you get the partnership and results your org needs most—without sacrificing team wellbeing in the process.

SERVICES

Most nonprofits are trying to achieve their aspirations on an underbuilt, fragile marcom system, and it keeps the "right" results just out of reach.

The aspiration-to-marcom gap:

Goals for growth or expansion—but a marketing system never designed for scale.

Desire for stronger influence in your sector—but a fragmented brand and low visibility.

Demand for healthier donor and partner pipelines—but siloed campaigns and messy audience data.

Need for stronger financial resilience—but a culture that keeps marcom in reactive mode.

This isn’t a gap in talent—or even strategy.
It's a gap in how marcom is set up to operate.

Great creative alone isn’t enough to fuel your aspirations at scale

Every nonprofit marcom team needs these 4 things to deliver it’s highest value

If your marcom team is missing one or more of these, performance will suffer, no matter how talented your team

Strategic Clarity

If marcom lacks shared clarity on your organization’s top goals—and its role in fueling them at scale—something (or someone) else will drive marcom’s priorities.

Agency

If expectations for marcom performance aren’t matched with the authority needed to define and shape the work at the right time, and the right scale, results will suffer.

Capacity

If marcom doesn’t have the right people, in the right seats, with a structure and service model that enable their highest-value work, results and wellbeing suffer.

Systems

If marcom lacks access to reliable audience data, or tech and systems designed for scale, everything becomes slower and more manual, straining capacity and diluting performance.

WHAT I DO

I improve how you work to unlock marcom’s highest value

I build the conditions for a marcom team better prepared to fuel your organization's top goals. My approach sits at the intersection of organizational development, systems design, and more than 20 years building high-performing marcom teams amid the unique constraints—and needs—of the nonprofit sector.

ASSESS

I embed onto your team to pinpoint what’s actually limiting your marcom team's value and performance the most (spanning Strategic Clarity, Agency, Capacity, and Systems)—and the best-fit approach to address it.

DESIGN+BUILD

Using my proprietary Nonprofit Marcom Operating System (OS), I partner with you to design and build a better-fit marcom operating system—adapting how you work, and how cross-functional teams work with you, to create the conditions that enable marcom to deliver the results your org needs most, and strengthen your team's readiness for what’s next.

IMPLEMENT

I work alongside your team to put the system into day-to-day practice—building alignment, strengthening cross-functional partnership, shifting the mindsets and disciplines that keep it durable, and operationalizing your performance focus.

SUSTAIN

I provide ongoing, custom support to reinforce what’s working, retain the durability of your new mindsets, disciplines, and systems as needs change, and ensure performance holds under pressure.

WHO THIS IS FOR

You're in the right place if:

Your nonprofit's growth, influence, and/or expansion goals have outpaced your marcom capabilities.

Your small marcom team is stuck in the "doing too much" trap, but not sure how to break out of it.

Marcom is doing great work, but struggling to deliver the "right" results that move the organization forward.

You know you're under utilizing the talent on your marcom team, but aren't sure what needs to change.

You need your marcom team to work smarter, including better use of tech and AI, but aren't sure how.

You need earlier, more frequent insights and strategic counsel from marcom, but aren't sure how to enable it.

Stop patching the leaks. Build a better marcom operating system.

When your nonprofit’s aspirations outgrow its marcom function, everything becomes harder. Things take longer than they should. Strategy gets traded for speed, and activity becomes the default measure of success.

Your marcom  optimization partner

I’m not an outsider to the social sector.

For more than 20 years, I’ve worked on the front lines of marketing and communications—as a nonprofit founder, creative executor, agency owner, and marcom leader inside community-based organizations, government, and philanthropy. I’ve sat at the board table, the executive table, and the creative table, and understand the pressure nonprofit leaders face balancing impact, program
fidelity, financial resilience, growth, and team wellbeing.

And here’s what I’ve learned: nonprofits with marcom functions that operate as value-driven strategic partners are far better positioned to achieve sustained financial resilience and scale their impact—without sacrificing their people’s wellbeing or what you're uniquely positioned to solve. In fact, strong marcom enables this balance by fueling your goals at scale.

My work sits at the intersection of organizational development, systems design, smart growth, and marketing communications—grounded in the Nonprofit Marcom OS that I’ve refined through decades of hands-on leadership. I build the conditions for stronger marcom teams, and thereby stronger, more financially resilient nonprofits—this is the balance where impact can thrive.
